My YWAM DTS group!

Wow, the Lord is Alive in this place! The lord has been completely evident and I’m already in love with my friends and staff here! I have had hands laid on me in prayer already and I can already sense a heavy passion for the Lord!!

Tomorrow is a huge day for us! We leave for our 1^st Wilderness trip! Tomorrow at 8:30 am we will be loading up and heading for the Buffalo River. We will be going on a 10 day canoeing and hiking trip and I am so so so stoked! We will have a DVD and like an outdoor projector to take with us in order to watch a digital message given by a speaker. You may wonder why we need a projector in the woods, and that is because when we go overseas on outreach, we will be using a projector sometimes to share the movie and message of Jesus Christ with some of the un reached villages and tribes! (HOW COOL?!?!)

Anyways, so the basis of my life today consisted of realizing that I didn’t exactly escape school like I thought I did. I say this because as we were going through the criteria for the 3 month DTS, I was informed that we have 6 book reports due and many smaller assignments throughout such as Scripture memory, journal checks and so on… So with this said, I am completely stoked because I love writing, but a lot of times simply don’t have the discipline to sit down and actually journal. That will definitely Change. I cannot wait to see God completely redirect my interests and habits.

On top of that, we woke up at 5:45 this morning for mandatory exercise, which today happened to be Crossfit!! :/… it SUCKED! I threw up because I am completely out of shape, but he pretty much told me to get used to it because this was one of the easiest workouts we do….. YAYYYYYYYYYYYY! …NOTTT! Lol again, I am super excited still, because I do love working out, once you actually wake me up and make me start! We’ll see how it goes!

After lunch, (ALL THE FOOD IS HOMECOOKED AND AMAZING) myself and about 6 other DTS-ers went an hour into the nearest town and we went to Academy sports and stocked up on some last minute camping supplies! Really fun!

Ok so check this out; The first Book that we have to do a book report on is “IS that Really You God?” …Sound farmiliar? … That’s right, it’s the one that I received from the man at Grace midtown the other weekend! The Lord really did know what he was doing by providing that book for me!!

On top of all of this, I received another check in the mail for support from my friend Bryan, who has previously done this DTS! I was so pumped to see that! And Even better, we received note on where our outreach locations will be! I AM STOKED!!! Without spoiling the surprise I will hint to you that one is in South America, and the other is in Southeast Asia. They are both beautiful very great spots to pursue ministry and simply seek the Lost and broken. I am going to be going to one or the other and I will be sure to fill you in as I am filled in! One team will go to one location, and the other team to the other location and it is pretty much a “pray and seek which is best fitting” kind of deal! I will be going wherever the Lord tells me!

Pretty much this was my first full day, so I am SOOOO ready for adventure and excitement! I will blog again in 2 weeks after our camping trip and plan on fully filling you in!
